Managing Offline Data

Remember to keep the docu tools app up to date on your mobile devices. Outdated versions can lead to errors and data loss. How to update the apps.

Uploading Offline Data

  • After working offline, synchronize the Projects as soon as you have a stable internet connection again to upload the data created to the Web App.

  • Use the Sync Function button in the Sync view or the corresponding Function buttons for individual Projects/Plans to start the synchronization.

  • During synchronization, the app uploads your changes and downloads all new data from other users.

NOTE: Keep the app open during the synchronization process to avoid errors and ensure reliable data upload.

Deleting an Offline Project or Plan from a Mobile Device

  1. First synchronize unsynchronized data

  • Projects/Plans with unsynchronized data cannot be Removed from the device.

  • Before you Remove a downloaded Project or Plan, ensure that all offline data is synchronized. You can check the synchronization status in the Sync view or in the Project/Plan list. If there are still unsynchronized data, an orange exclamation mark will appear on the Project/Plan icon, and the message "Unsynchronized data" will be displayed in the Sync view.

  • The app also sends reminder notifications when you Log in to remind you to synchronize the data.

  1. Remove the Project/Plan

  • Swipe left over the Plan/Project you want to Remove from the device and Click on the red Function button.

  • On a tablet, you can also select the Edit Function button in the Sync view, choose multiple Projects or Plans, and Remove them all at once.

  • Once all data has been synchronized, the Project/Plan will be Removed from the device and will no longer be available offline. However, you can continue to work on it online.
