In docu tools, you can add photos and PDF Files directly to a Pin and Edit them later. This is particularly useful if you want to add sketches or notes on-site – all without additional tools.

How to Edit Media in a Pin
Open Media
Open the desired Pin.
Tap or Click on the photo or PDF you want to Edit.
Enter Edit Mode
In the iOS App, an ✏️ Edit icon appears at the top right.
In the Web app, you will find the Edit button in the right menu.
Tap or Click on the appropriate icon to start editing.
Editing Options
📌 For Photos:
Change Post Title: Each post can be named individually.
Draw: Add freehand drawings directly into the image.
Rotate: Correctly align the image – directly in the app.
📄 For PDFs (iOS App only):
Change Title
Draw and Comment: Add text, highlights, arrows, freehand sketches, or even your signature.
Ideal for digitally filling out forms on-site, which are then saved directly in the Pin.
Version Safety During Editing
When you Edit a photo or PDF, the original Version is not deleted, but automatically set to inactive.
This ensures that no image is made unrecognizable by editing or accidentally overwritten.
If you want to see or further Edit old Versions of photos or PDFs:
Open the relevant Pin in the Web app.
Sctivate the display of inactive content in the Media section.
Deactivate Media
If an image or PDF should no longer be displayed (e.g., in the Report), you can manually deactivate it – it remains stored in the Pin.
Use the trash can icon for this purpose.
