In projects in which the building owner, general contractor (GC) and subcontractors work together, we recommend the following workflow to coordinate tasks efficiently and transparently:
create pin and task by the building owner The building owner creates a pin with an associated task and assigns the task to the general contractor. This informs the GC of the upcoming activity and he is responsible for its implementation.
delegation of the task by the GC to the subcontractor Instead of forwarding the received task directly, the GC creates a new, separate task for the responsible trade and assigns it to the respective subcontractor.
control and feedback As soon as the subcontractor marks its task as completed, the GC is automatically notified. He checks the execution and then informs the building owner about the completion of the work - ideally in the comment or status of the original task.
Required roles
For this workflow, the building owner and general contractor require one of the following roles in docu tools: + Admin + Assistant + External viewer
The free version is sufficient for the subcontractor. The subcontractor will only be able to view the tasks assigned to them.
