Effortlessly generate QR codes for Pins by inserting specific placeholders in Report templates. These QR codes allow other users to directly access a Pin. Additionally, you can print these QR codes on labels and place them directly on the corresponding item. This enables quick access to the associated Pin, for example, during recurring maintenance tasks, without having to search for it on a Plan for a long time.
NOTE: Access to the Pin via QR code is restricted to active project members with the appropriate Role.
Report placeholders for generating QR codes
NOTE: To generate QR codes for Pins, you must create a Report using a Report Template that includes one of the specified placeholders. Detailed instructions on Report templates can be found in our special article.
{{
pin-qr-code
}}
- Generates a QR code for the Pin. This placeholder is only available for Word Reports. This placeholder must be inserted into the Pin section. The section starts with the opening tag{{
pins
}}
and ends with the closing tag{/pins
}}.
{{
pin-qr-list
}}
- This placeholder is used outside the "Pins" section and displays a List of QR codes for all Pins included in the Report. Additionally, the Pin Number is also listed as a reference. The QR codes can then be scanned with our iOS apps, and the Pins are directly opened if the user has the rights to access them. This placeholder is only available for Word Reports.
Labels
When you print the QR codes on labels, you can attach them directly to the corresponding part, e.g., on fire doors that need to be checked every year. Thus, you do not have to search for the corresponding door on the Plan for a long time but can directly access the Pin by scanning the QR code. We have provided a Template at the end of this article for this purpose. The Template has been created for the label Herma Special A4 24*24mm No. 8339 (please check the manufacturer's specifications to see if they also match your requirements).
Download the Template in docu tools instructions. Create the Report with the appropriate Pins and download it as .docx. Then you can print the labels.
Of course, you can also create a Template customized to your requirements or your favorite label and upload it to docu tools.
