Remove a Project Member from a Project

Updated over a week ago

Note Before you remove a Member from a Project, please ensure that all data of this Member has been fully synchronized on mobile devices. Otherwise, unsynchronized data might be lost.

How to Remove a Project Member

  1. Open the relevant Project.

  2. Click on Members in the left menu.

  3. Search for the Member to be removed.

  4. Click on the three dots icon (…) in the line of this Member.

  5. Select Remove from Project.

  6. A data synchronization warning window will open.

  7. If the Member has synchronized all data, Click on Deactivate to permanently remove them.

What Happens to the Data of the Removed Member?

All content created by the Member remains intact (e.g., pins, tasks, comments). In the List view, the removed Member appears in light gray font with a red dot on the icon, indicating that they are inactive. Former Members can no longer be chosen as responsible parties, but their previous Assignments remain intact.

Filter, Bulk Editing, and Reactivation

  • You can still Filter for inactive users, e.g., for tasks that were assigned to a former Member.

  • This is particularly useful if you want to Assign open tasks to another user via bulk editing.

  • In the Members list, there is a quick Filter "Inactive" at the top. If you Click on it, you will see all inactive users.

  • Inactive users can be reactivated if necessary.

Good to Know

  • All activities of the Member remain traceable – no data is lost.

  • A re-invitation of the Member to the Project is possible at any time.
