Copy Project

Updated this week

To copy an existing Project, you must either be an Organization owner or have been assigned the appropriate permission in License management.

Which properties can be copied?

When copying a Project, you have the option to duplicate the following details:

Copy properties

  • Pin categories

  • Pin designs (including categories)

  • You can choose to only Copy the Pin categories, without the Pin designs. However, Pin fields can only be copied in combination with the categories to which they are assigned.

  • Team members (all or selected)

  • Contacts (all or selected)

  • If the corresponding checkbox is checked, all users Invited to the Project (team members) and all contacts are duplicated into the new Project. To select specific users and contacts, simply Click on the "All" option, which is now available.

  • Datasets

  • Report templates

  • Teams (including members)

  • The Teams option refers to the "Teams" section in the Projects list. If only the first checkbox is activated, the teams and their structure are duplicated but remain empty. To also duplicate the members, select the additional checkbox Include team members and ensure that the Team members checkbox is activated.

Note: Inactive data is excluded from duplication in new Projects.

Steps

  1. Navigate to the Projects list and locate the Project you want to Copy.

  2. Open the Project options by Clicking on the Function button ... next to the Project.

  3. Select the option Copy Project from the dropdown menu.

  4. Give your new Project a meaningful name. Optionally, you can assign it to a specific target folder.

  5. Select the items you want to duplicate, such as Pin categories, designs, team members, contacts, Datasets, Report templates, and teams.

  6. Click Copy Project to start the copying process.

Congratulations! Your new Project has been successfully created, and you can now get started.

Create Your Own Default Project

If you have developed your own Default for your Projects or consistently work with the same settings and people in the Project, you can save time by creating your own Default Project. You can then repeatedly Copy it following the instructions above. Subsequently, you only need to make Project-related adjustments, such as Inviting additional people or Removing them, importing new Datasets, etc.
