Archiving projects is a straightforward process reserved for users with the manage projects rights. This guide walks you through the steps to archive a project and provides insights into what happens to inactive projects and their data.
- Open the project list.
- Scroll to the organisation projects list.
- Click on the
...menu next to the project you intent to archive.
- Choose the option
Set project inactive.
The project is now archived and no longer appears in the default project list, which only displays active projects.
Optionally, you can set multiple projects inactive using the checkboxes provided and the
... button on the top of the list.
Viewing Inactive Projects
To view inactive projects, scroll to the organisation projects and change the quickfilter to either
This allows you to list both inactive and active projects simultaneously.
Understanding Inactive Projects
- Inactive projects are retained in the web app but are inaccessible on mobile devices (Smartphone and Tablet apps).
- It is not possible to open or work on inactive projects. However, you can easily re-activate them from the
...menu, if needed.
- Inactive projects and their associated plans, pins and media are excluded from downloads on mobile apps. This optimizes data usage and accelerates the synchronization process.
