Project members consist of internal users of your organization (company) and external users (subcontractors, docu tools users, contacts). This group is only valid for the current project. If you want a member to work on several projects, you have to invite them to each project separately.
If you are invited to a project as docu tools user, this project will not be counted to your active projects.
If you want to invite people from your company, make sure in advance that they are already in your docu tools organization. If the person is not yet in your organization, they will only be invited to the project but will be an independent docu tools organization. Invite internal users
Internal users are members of your organization.
- Open the project.
- Click on
Members
in the left menu. - Click on
Invite member
. - Click in the field with the
envelope
icon. - Select the persons from the members list.
- A list appears. The field with the role is outlined in orange. Select the role you want to assign to the project member here.
- Confirm by clicking on
Invite
.
Invite external users
External users are docu tools users outside your organization.
- Open the project.
- Click on
Members
in the left menu. - Click on
Invite member
. - Enter the e-mail address of the person you want to invite. Click on
Add
. - A list appears. The field with the role is outlined in orange. Select the role you want to assign to the project member here.
- Confirm by clicking on
Invite
.
Further steps for both scenarios
The invited project member will receive an email notification and can now work in the project within the assigned role.
