To use this function, you need the Google Authenticator app on your smartphone. You also need to have entered your mobile number with country code in the user settings under "Personal settings", e.g. +43664123456789.
- go to the user settings in docu tools.
- check the box 'Enable 2-factor authentication' and click on 'Save'. A new window will open.
- you will receive an activation code via SMS to the mobile number you entered above. Enter this code in the field below the text and click on 'Confirm SMS code'. After this confirmation, a QR code will appear.
- open the Google Authenticator app on your smartphone and scan the QR code. Your docu tools account will now appear in the list in Google Authenticator. When you log in to docu tools for the first time, the login screen in the 2nd step always asks for the 6-digit numerical code that appears in the list in Google Authenticator.
To deactivate 2-factor authentication again, delete the checkmark and click Save.
